The comp value is what the same year, make and model has recently been bidding and hammering for across the auction sites RVBidFind tracks — a trimmed median of comparable observations, blended with a depreciation model when comps are thin. It is what tells you whether a current bid is a deal.

Prices are hammer-side: a settled sale where bidding was observed, otherwise the last bid seen before close. Retail asking prices are excluded.

Method

RVBidFind reads the public listings of 40+ auction sites every half hour and remembers every lot. When a lot closes, the last bid observed becomes its sold price if bidding was seen (a bid count above zero, or a bid that moved between observations); a lone opening bid is not treated as a sale. Classified asking prices are tracked separately and never enter these figures. Medians are of raw hammer prices, unadjusted for mileage or condition — see each lot's comp value for adjusted numbers.
