Privacy policy

Short version: the site works without an account. We keep the least data we can, we never sell it, and anything you give us (an email for alerts, a payment for Pro) is used only for that purpose.

What we collect

Nothing personal to browse. Your watchlist, saved searches, ZIP code and preferences are stored in your own browser and never sent to us unless you ask for an email alert.

Aggregate usage counts. Page views, searches, lot opens and clicks out to auction sites are counted per day and per page, with no identifiers, cookies or IP addresses stored. If Google Analytics is enabled it runs with IP anonymisation.

Email, if you give it. For email alerts and the weekly digest we store your address, the search it is attached to, and when we last wrote to you. Every email carries a one-click unsubscribe link.

Membership. Payments are handled entirely by Stripe; we never see your card number. We store your Stripe customer id, email and subscription status so your Pro access follows your subscription.

Cookies and storage

We set no tracking cookies of our own. Local storage holds your preferences and, for members, a signed token that identifies your subscription to our server. Advertising served to free visitors by Google AdSense uses Google's cookies under Google's policies; members see no ads.

Sharing

We do not sell or rent personal data. Service providers process it on our behalf: Netlify (hosting), Stripe (payments), Resend (email delivery) and Google (advertising and, if enabled, analytics). Outbound links to auction sites and partners are subject to those sites' own policies.

Retention and deletion

Usage counts are kept for 120 days. Alert and digest records are deleted when you unsubscribe. Membership records are kept while your subscription is active and for the period tax law requires afterwards. To delete anything sooner, email hello@rvbidfind.com from the address concerned.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, and object to processing, at the address above. Residents of California, the EU and the UK have additional statutory rights, which we honour regardless of where you live.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
